Every day, 416,000 phones are discarded in the US, despite being largely functional. By repurposing refurbished devices, we're extending the life of hardware that would otherwise sit in warehouses or end up in landfills.

Building hardware from scratch is challenging, especially for a startup. The costs of design, sourcing, and manufacturing can quickly escalate. As a small company, SLEKE. must spend wisely and prioritize resources - like improving our software. It's about being strategic to ensure our long-term survival.

Speed to Market 

There's an urgent need for our solution, and our potential users care more about functionality of the software than they do the nature of the hardware. Creating and testing new hardware takes time. Right now, we're focused on getting our core offering, OdysseyOS, into people's hands as quickly as possible. Refurbished devices allow us to move fast and gather critical feedback while refining our technology.

Quality Assurance 

We source our hardware exclusively from authorized smartphone refurbishers who are required to maintain rigorous quality standards. Our devices are carefully selected to ensure:

• Minimal cosmetic wear (typically less than 5% surface imperfections)

• Fully functional internal components

• Comprehensive diagnostics testing

• Battery health above 85% of original capacity

• Clean IMEI with no repair or theft history
